At Dick’s Stinkin’ Good Garlic Farm, we grow Persian Star, a beautiful purple-striped hardneck variety that stands out for its striking appearance and complex flavor. Believed to have originated from the Silk Road region, it has become a favorite among gourmet cooks and garlic enthusiasts.

Flavor Profile:
Persian Star delivers a medium heat with subtle earthy and sweet undertones. Raw, it has a crisp bite; when cooked, it transforms into a smooth, well-rounded flavor with just the right amount of warmth.

Clove Count & Bulb Size:
Each bulb typically contains 8–10 uniform cloves, wrapped in purple-streaked skins that make it as attractive as it is delicious.

Storage Life:
5–7 months when properly cured.
