Garlic doesn’t care about your excuses, it only cares about your zone .

Here’s the cheat sheet:

• Zone 3–4 → Plant early, before the frost trolls wake up.

• Zone 5 (that’s us, folks) → Plant late Sept to mid-Oct. Don’t wait ‘til Halloween or you’ll be dressing as a garlic farmer with regret.

• Zones 8–11 → Congrats, you’re basically gardening in vacationland… but you better pre-chill that garlic like it’s a Busch Light in the cooler.
