Quick-Start Planting

1. Timing: Plant in fall, 4–6 weeks before ground freeze.
2. Prep: Full sun; loose, well-drained soil + compost.
3. Break bulbs: Separate into cloves right before planting. Pointy end up.
4. Spacing: 6–8" between cloves, 12–15" between rows, 2–3" deep.
5. Mulch: After first hard frost, mulch with straw/leaves.
6. Spring tip: Snap scapes when they curl to push energy back to the bulb.
